The Zillij’ objects are inspired by cut glazed ceramic tiles, produced traditionally in Marrakech and Fez, in Morocco (The name refers to the original mosaic technique). The patterns where drown upon conic sheet metal forms and cut out (using laser cut). The conic forms dictated the different scale and order of the patterns. This series of shades put in different compositions, serve as sun shades in day time and lamp reflectors at night.
